Can gambling and Star Trek be mixed? Sure, they have done that in Quark's bar on Deep Space Nine in the 24th Century. Now, they are doing it again in the 20th Century's Las Vegas.

Star Trek: The Experience is a theme-park type attraction located at the Las Vegas Hilton, and it was scheduled to open in late August this year. However, due to construnction delays, it has been postponed. The Experience will have three major sections: the museum, the ride, and the stores. The price of admission has not been set, but its free web site, www.startrekexp.com, has opened. If things are finished according to its web, the experience will be pretty promising. Check its web site for more detail info.

Star Trek: The Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton is just one of the several up-coming Star Trek projects from Paramount. One project that is currently on the table is the 3D I-Max Star Trek film. If made, the length of this film probably will be about 45 minutes, since most I-Max films are about this length. It has not been decided whether we will see any familiar Trek actors/actresses in this film. Another project is the 9th Star Trek movie. It is scheduled to be released in the end of 1998.
